PERMIAS Seattle

PERMIAS Seattle (Persatuan Mahasiswa Indonesia di Amerika Serikat – Seattle Chapter) is a student-run organization dedicated to supporting, empowering, and uniting Indonesian students and young professionals across the Greater Seattle area. As part of a national network of PERMIAS chapters across the United States, we are committed to fostering community, cultural pride, and academic and professional growth.

For the 2025–2026 term, our mission is to build a stronger, more connected Indonesian community in Seattle by creating meaningful programs, expanding collaboration, and ensuring that every Indonesian student—whether new or returning—feels welcomed and supported.

We focus on:

• Community & Culture: Hosting social gatherings, cultural celebrations, and events that bring Indonesian warmth and spirit to Seattle.

• Student Support: Helping new students adapt to life in the U.S. through mentorship, resources, and a supportive network.

• Professional Development: Providing workshops, networking events, and career opportunities that equip members for success.

• Collaboration: Working closely with local Indonesian groups, universities, and the broader Seattle community to create inclusive and impactful initiatives.
