Seattle Peduli Covid-19 (2020)

With the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19 spreading worldwide, Indonesia has one of the fastest growing cases. On March 1st, our home country was struck with its first patient and the numbers just kept rising until today with a total of 1,414 and more than 100 people dead.⁣ ⁣ Indonesian medical facilities uses Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) as a protective measure to treat the affected patients. Currently, doctor and nurses are forced to use raincoats and plastic covers as hazmats due to the availability of APD are decreasing as more people come in to get treated. PERMIAS Seattle has decided to take part and open up a donation dedicated to our friends and families to fund APD. The received funds will go directly to various charity organizations that work closely with Ikatan Dokter Indonesia.⁣ ⁣ With so much uncertainty and concern surrounding the recent novel coronavirus, it’s easy to feel helpless—but there is something we can all do to help the fight against it. Aside from keeping safe and following guidelines from medical experts, we can all do our part and provide much-needed support and aid.⁣
